VISITING THE CENTRE
Our formal opening ceremony took place on Saturday the 8th June 2024, the first day of our inaugural Open Weekend. We are now officially open to visitors on Thursday and Sunday mornings between the hours of 10.00 and 14.00 during the summer months. details of our opening times are posted on the front page of this site. We close during the winter months for maintenance and completion of further projects.
You are invited to call in and view our amazing displays of memorabilia and read about the history of RAF Hibaldstow and other equally important airfields of North Lincolnshire. Entry is free and all our buildings are wheelchair accessible with the exception of the underground Airfield Command Bunker. Cafe facilities are available in the Sub-Station NAAFI until 13.30 where you can obtain hot and cold drinks, sweet and savoury snacks, toast, tea cakes and sandwiches, all at very reasonable prices. We pride ourselves that this is a community project and all proceeds of sales and donations are reinvested within the project.
There is no need to book in advance but we would ask that for larger group visits you apply in advance so that we can make special arrangements to suit yourselves and ensure that an appropriate number of volunteers are available to look after you. So why not get on/in your bicycles, motorbikes, scooters, classic vehicles, horses or just your walking shoes and pop along to see us?
